Inspriation

When we choose clothes online, we find that many websites only define categories as men and women.

There are many friends around Cali who belong to the LGBT community. In the process of learning style and choosing clothes for them, I found that

For the group of LGBT people around them, they have no way to accurately find the style that suits themselves when choosing clothes. They need to switch between male and female categories to find only small part of their sort. And, when they want to wear clothes that are the opposite of their biological gender, the size doesn't fit.

Background Research

Difference between LGBT and straight people When choosing the clothes

Group 9577.png

How is society's problem toward LGBT crowd finding suitable clothes?

1.They can't wear what they define as their style or identity is less clear when they feel something wrong in dressing up in their unique style.

2.When men wear high heels there is a controversy over "girl stuff"and women are more limited when it comes to buying swimsuits

Conclusion

In many shopping sites only two of man and woman sort by category. LGBT in size and stylistic choices became one of them the big problem is that they can't quickly choose clothes that suit them when they choose clothes online.

This actually affects whether the status of this group in society has been accept that they should have the right to have an all about themselves gender categories, how they define themselves and how they dress not should they be restricted by gender. They worth to have a better shopping experience sense and freedom of dressing.

 User Test

After I finished playing my user journey, I showed the user some features that I would use in the app and got some feedback.

Group 9628.png

The typography is needs to be improved

It's a little too similar to RedBook App; I need a little more of my own style

The following piece could be simpler and more fashionable, the current design is a bit redundant

Storyboard

Take the situation where my friends shopping as an example. This is the typical situation for LGBTQ people during a shopping experience.

Group 9629.png

James is constantly troubled by not finding the right clothes for dates. His friend told him he could use the "un1” app to choose the size and style that suits him.
He opened the app, selected unisex from the category, and browsed the clothes that suited him.

Group 9630.png

In the process of searching, he found that he even knew what style was suitable for him. he opened the style survey in the service to do a series of surveys about preferences. He matched some keywords close to his style.

Group 9631.png

Using these keywords, he found some outfits and influencers he was interested in on the Discover page. He liked and followed these posts and accounts.

He returns to the shop's page and confirms his top with the color and style he's decided on. But he didn't know what the clothes would look like on his body.

Group 9632.png

He found that he could input his body shape data to screen VR models and estimate the size that suited him.
He enters his data, skin color, hair, face shape and other data. the app automatically matches him with models similar to his data.
In the end he chose the clothes that fit him best.
