Why Monitor?
The art project utilizes manual and electronic technology to create a striking visual effect that draws the viewer in. The use of pigment to create bloodshot eyes adds a sense of realism and urgency to the piece, and an Arduino program is used to monitor the movement of the eyes, criticizing the government's use of monitoring and the dictatorship of those in power.
I hope that viewers of the project will be inspired to take action and speak up for their rights and the future of their country, just as the UAW strike serves as an example of standing up for one's beliefs. This art project is a poignant reminder of the importance of democracy and human rights and a call to action for all who see it.
